A Visitor

If you hadn't seen a bat flying around the house, you would've never known it was on here.

We've had bats get in numerous times--when you live in an old building with plenty of spaces under the eaves, everything gets in--and usually it's a matter of holding the door open and they quickly find their way out. This guy was a bit more stubborn (or stupid, I'm not sure which) and it took at least twenty minutes to get him out. At one point he landed in a fold of the curtains, and I just grabbed him and shooed him out the door--wearing a heavy pair of work gloves, of course, because their teeth are quite sharp and they don't hesitate to use them. I hope the chasing-around didn't cause the little guy any undue stress. I'm quite fond of bats.

I believe he's a little brown bat, but if there are any bat experts out there, do correct me if I'm wrong.
